This course is for anyone (Autistic or Allistic) who wants to become a more effective ally and advocate for Autistic people. Whether you're a parent, educator, therapist, employer, or community member, this course will guide you through respectful advocacy rooted in Autistic expertise and help you better align your advocacy efforts with the priorities of the Autistic community. 

• The importance of rooting your personal or professional inclusion strategy in Autistic expertise
• Respectful ways to position your advocacy 
• Advocacy strategies for home and family environments, including different advocacy models, presuming competence, and goal-setting
• Advocacy strategies for educational settings to build inclusive classrooms and schools, including co-teaching 
• Considerations for wider advocacy outreach, how to facilitate discussions on autism, and using respectful imagery and symbolism

• The content is derived from several hundred interviews with the Autistic community.
• The course contains reflection activities to help participants consider how they can implement the strategies discussed.
• There are multiple ways to digest the content (videos, video scripts, and summary graphics), and the course is broken up into several sections that can be completed in any order.
• This course offers quizzes after each module, and, if purchased, a certificate of completion identifying the coursework completed (3 hours) and can be used for professional development documentation, depending on your institutions requirements.
